At the cycling carnival the Sussex Plate, a five-mile scratch event, resulted:. —Morgan (Victoria) 1, Sutherland (New Zealand) 2, Beauchamp (Tasmania) 3. Won by hulf a length. Time, llmin 24 4-sth sec. A meeting of the committee of the Christchurch Cycling Club was held on Monday evening, Mr E. Lawson being in the chair. Correspondence was received from Mr Auquith, who is now in Sydney, with reference to a visit from a United States champion, who would be willing to compete at the Club's Good Friday meeting. After discussion the question' was held over. The secretary reported tliat matters in connection with the Good Friday meeting were well forward.
