OXFORD TERRACE BAPTIST CHURCH.

A tea meeting and public gathering, in connection with the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church, were held last evening. At the after-meeting the Rtv. R. S. Gray, pastor of the Chnrt-b, occupied the chair. Mr H. Eaton reported on the woik of the Church for the plevioue, year, stating that the members considered themselves yery fortunate in having secured the services* of their present pastor. All the Church institutions were progressing favourably. During the year the sum of £549 had been collected on the general fund, and the expenditure had been about £60 less. Apart from this fund £58 liad been collected for foreign missions, and £11 for Home missions. The bank overdraft had b._n reduced from £176 to £117, and the mortgage stood at £700. He specially urged members of the Church to devote more time to personal work in its interests. The Rev. James Lyall addressed the meeting on the subject of the essentials of true progress in a church, and the Revs. F. W. Hales and J. J. North also spoke. During the evening musical items were rendered by tlie choir, and several solos sung by individual members.
