SYMPATHY OF THE DUNEDIN UNION.
(P—ESS ASSOCIATION TELEG-AM.) DUNEDIN, March 8. At a special meeting of the Furniture Trades' Union, resolutions were passed expressing sympathy with the Auckland furniture workers now- locked out by their employers to defeat the award of the Arbitration Court, also its indignation at the action of the Auckland furniture employers in resorting to measures which, if copied by the workers, must result in disaster to both parties, and calls upon all unionists in New Zeuland to assist the Auckland workers to adopt m_lsttres that may settle the difficulty definitely and: finally. The meeting pledged! itself to render all support in its power, morally and financially, to the Auckland furniture, workera in the present lock-out difficulty; also to urge the Auckland Furniture Trades* Union to commence a co-operative .urniturte factory m Auckland, wit'ti the object of employing tho men locked out, and preventing their homes being broken up, and other hardshipimposed upon their families, and the Union will render whatever assi_tanoe is in itpower to further that object.
