RESOLUTION BY THE CANTERBURY TRADES COUNCIL.

At a special meeting of the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council held or. Saturday evening, the lock-out of the furniture trade in Auckland was d-jcnased, and the following resolution was ordered to be sent to the Union:—"The Canterbury Trades and Labour Council extend their sympathy to the locked-out men in the furniture trade of Auckland, in the barbarous and inhuman treatment accorded them by their employers, and urge them to stand firm and be true to their organisation and tbe award of the Court, and if necessary we will be prepared to assietthem _aa_daily."
