(fbsss association tslsosau.)
WELLINGTON, February 17.
At the civil sittings of the Supreme Court —*s morning, the Chief Justice strongly complained of counsel not being prepared to proceed with cases when, called on. He intended to look up his powers, and, if possible, to make counsel, and not the clients, pay all the costs in cases in which the solicitors were the cause of delay in the proceedings.- His Honour also urged the necessity of amending the law relating to jurors, so tliat when put to expense and trouule, they should oe paid adequate fees.
