ROYAL COUPLE SNUBBED.
According to the "Neve Freie Presse," the Czar has administered a merciless snub to the King and Queen of Servia. In response to a direct invitation from the Russian Court King Alexander and Queen Draga completed their preparations for the journey to Livadia, arranging the minutest details connected with tiie route. However, on the eve of their departure, the Servian Government received _ through Coaut Lamsdorff a coldly formal intimation that the Czar desired" that the Servian couple's visit should be postponed indefinitely." This communication in itself, and still more the wav in which it was made, constitutes a deliberate affront, likely to injure King Alexander's prestige more than ever. The snub was due to the Czarina's refusal to meet Queen Draga.
