THE SIR GEORGE GREY STATUE.

(nous ASSOCIATION TEL-GKAM) AUCKLAND, July 22. Mr Speight, Chairman of the Grey Statue Committee, has received from Mr F. J. Williamson, the sculptor* who has been entrusted with the work, a letter stating that he has been in communication with v Mr Seymour Thorne George, and his suggestions for making the likeness as perfect as possible will be carefully welcomed. The sculptor also hopes Mr Seddon may find time to visit the studio. Mr Wi.liamson concludes:—"The large model is in progress, and you may rely on mc to do my best to make it a perfect work of art."
