The Government's scheme for the reduction of salaries was tabled in the Assembly. It proposed to reduce Ministers' from £1000 to £850, members from £300 to £250, civil servants not exceeding £100 by 5 per cent., not exceeding £450 by 10 per cent-, over that 15 per cent. (Received July 23rd, 12.24 a.m.) BRISBANE, July 22. In the Assembly, in Committee of Supply, Mr Kidson moved a vote of want of confidence in the shape of an amendment that the Government financial proposals are unsatisfactory. The Premier, in the course of his reply, announced tha-t he intended to borrow a million for public works.
