THE TIMARU MARKETS.

Our Timaru correspondent reports as follower:—There is now a good enquiry for wheat on the Timaru markets, and a fairly brisk business has been done in this cereal during the past week at 4s, f.o.b. But farmers are now demanding the 4s clear, and present indications point to the conclusion that they will not have long to wait. Oats remain the same in price as last* week, with a slightly better enquiry. There is nothing doing in barley. Chick wheat is worth 3s per bushel, and potatoes £2 15s per ton.
