LONDON, November 22. Five hundred million new British stamps have been printed.
HUGE BANK FRAUD
A bookkeeper in a bank at Liverpool has defrauded the institution of £170,000.

A reward of __50 is offered for the apprehension of Thomas Goudie, the Bank of Liverpool book-keeper, who is charged with forging and uttering cheques. The crime is attributed to gambling on the turf. THE GALWAY ELECTION. (Received iNovetmber 24th. 5.20 p.m.) LONDON, November 25. "Colonel-" Lynch, interviewed in Paris, declares he was a Home Ruler, and not a Revolutionist. He intends to claim the seat to whioh he has been elected. THE NEW ZEALAND LOAN. LONDON, November 23. The New Zealand loan is quoted at a quarter pr_njum. A PRIVY COUNCIL RULING. (Received November 24th, 5.31 p .m.) LONDON, November 23. The Privy Council has decided that the Provincial Legislature of Manitoba _» entitled to enact measures for the suppression of the liquor traffic. The appeal of the Attorney-Gene-_ was therefore allowed, without costs.
