THE NEWBURY SPADA COMPANY.

On Thursday evening, at the Choral Hall, Mr Philip Hewbury and Madame Spada will give the second of the sendee of shilling popular concerts. In addition to the two artists already named, 'Misses Maud Graham and Freda Mrs A. W. Macandrew, Messrs Corrigaai, A. Douglas, and C. Bead will also appear.

A Blue and White Concert and Operetta under the auspices of St. ■ Mary's choir, was held in St. Mary's HaU/Manchester street, yesterday evening, and attracted a large audience. A Polonaise with, full orchestral accompaniment was eung by the choir, a chorus "A Sailor Lad's Song, 1, by the boy pupils of St. Mary's, a waltz song "Blow Soft .Winds," by the sopranos .and altos, and a trio by Miss Beesley, Messrs H. Schwartz, aad E. McNamara. Songs were contributed by Mr J. Hynes, 3fise A. Beesley, Mr W. Frwer, Mr J. A, Henderson, Mrs A. Head, and Mr J. Young; a durt by l>les?T« R. Peterson "and R. Bevoridge, and a clarionefc solo by Mr W.- JET. Corrigao. The programme concluded with a humourous operetta entitled "The. Blind Ikggars." Mr W. H. C«rrigan acted as conductor, and Miss Katie Young as accompanist.
