SYDENHAM.

A meKiug of the Sydenham Borough Council was held last evening, and there was a full Council present. The Chairman of the Finance Committee of.the Royal visit forwarded an audited statement of accounts in oonrieci.ion with the same. Messrs AfcCiatchie and Co. inquired on what terms a kerosene storage license would be granted to them. A reply was directed to be sent that a license would be granted on a suitable building being provided.. Mr George Bradley forwarded a claim for £20 for 'damages arising out of an accident, alleged to be due to the Council's negligence. . It Ayas decided that the Council could accept no liability in the matter. Payment of accounts amounting to £171 9s 6d was authorised... The balance cf accounts standing at the bank were as follows*.—Credit accounts £5523 5s 3d, debit accounts £5150 2s 9d. The report was adopted. The Council then went into committee.
