Miners' Association desired the management at the Broken Hill Proprietary Mine to receive a deputation and discuss an amendment to the agreement in regard to prices, but tiihe company declined to do so. It was willing to hear grievances from its employees, but not to discuss them with an onteide body. GREAT FREE TRADE DEMONSTRATION. MELBOURNE, October 22. A great freetrade demonstration in the Town Hall was addressed by Mr G. H. Reid, wbo made a brilliant speech. The meeting entered a vigorous protect against the tariff.
