(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GISBORSfE, October 22. The Poverty Bay A. and P. Show cam* menced to-day, and extends over to-mor-row. The weatlier was fine, and there was , a record attendance. In all classes tnere ,was better competition than formerly, and choice selections from the leading studs of the chief Auckland and southern breeders are in competition, including Shorthonxa bred by Messrs McHardy Bros., Douglas McLean, and McMastcr, Archdeacon Williams, and Mr D. Reid. Lmcoln rams from the flocks of the Australian Land Company, fcJutton, Perry Bros., Wilson, Tanner, Craig Bros., and Romneys from Wheeler, Bridge, Harding, and Woodward Bros. The judges are: — Mr Hocken, Ftdlding, light horses; Mr McLean, Hawkes Bay, draughts and cattle; Mx J. H. Wiliianis, Hawke's Bay, sheep. Many visitors from other districts are present, and , more are expected tomorrow.
