A iramber of local members of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry did some class firing at Bromley yesterday at 200, 600, 400, 500, and 600 yds. The highest aggregate scores were: —Sergeant-Major Rhodes 323, Corporal Roberts 120, Corporal Mortem 107, Sergeant Wilson 93, Trooper Ballan : tyne 80, Trooper Fox 76, Corporal Delamain 75.

A parade of the i<«orth. Canterbury Infantry Battalion was held last night;, the ofßcers present being Majors Day, Snow, and Creswell, and Captain and Adjutant Mertou and Sergeant-Major Steere. There were large musters of all the corps. The City Guards formed ajn advance guard, and the College Rifles a rearguard. The battalion was exercised in battalion movements in the North Park under Major Day. Twenty members of the C.V.C. were present at drill, under Sergeant-Major Rhodes, in Tabart's wool shed last night, and were put through manual and guard-mounting exercises.

On Sunday the Christ's College Rifles and Christ's College Cadets held a church parade at the College Chapel The Rev. F. Hare preached on the duties of the men to their country and their faith. After the service the two corps were drawn up in line on the College quad, and Colonel Gordon performed what he said would be his last official act as commander of the district in presenting Sergeant Colclough and Lance-Corporal Teape with their long service medals, Mra Gordon pinning them on.
