CHRISTCHURCH AMATEUR CLUB
The annual meeting of the Christoburch Amateur Swimming Crab was -eld last evening, (Mr Geo. Harris presiding. The annual report was read and adopted. The balance-sheet showed receipts for the year £74 0s 3d, and expenditure £73 4s lid, leaving a credit balance -at date of 16s 4d, with no liabilities. Five new members were elected. The Chairnyfoi congratulated the clnbvon having reached,its twenty-second year, and on the success of the past year. The election of officers resulted as under:—President, Mr Geo: Harris (re-elected); vice-piwridenie, Dr. Moorhouse, Dr. Dr. Orchard, Messrs J; J. Isbiuter, A. Francis, J. M. Watson, J. R. Duncan, T. S. Foster, and ,E. C. Ashby: captain, Mr C. H. Pox; aub-captain, Mr F. Patfcenson; secretary, Mr, H. Mouat; treasurer, Mr J. Buchanan ; committee, Messrs R. Sneddon, C. E. •Foster; J. Harrison , , J. Fox, D. Sinclair, J. Cooper, T. H. Harkerj instructors, Messrs T. H. HarKer, O. BL.Fox, F. Patterson.? auditor, Mr R. Sneddon; delegates pa tbja Oamterbury Centre, Meiers H7 Moiiafc and J. Buchanan. On- the lhotion of Mr ' ,G. J/C Smart, it was decided to allow six scholars from each ■ public school free *• .membership of "the clab lor three year* from date, each boy to. be nominated by : the headmaster of each, 'school.' *' '
