-{PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 8. The Agent-General's cablegram datea London 6th says:—"The mutton market is dull, and trade very disappointing, there being only a hand to mouth demand. Canterbury mutton to-day is at 3£d, Dunedin and Southland North Island 3d, Australian 2id, River Plate 2Jd. River Plate is in large supply, and is being strongly pushed tor sale. The lamb market is weak; Canterbury brand s£d, brands other than Canterbury 6£d. The market is over supplied with heavy carcases. There is better demand for beef. New Zealand hinds 3jd, and fores ■ "The hemp market is depending on the Manila report. Good iair Wellington on spot £26; there are light stocks on hand— 267 tons against 1012 last year. Cocksfoot seed, 171b standard, on ■ spot, 39s nominal. Buyers ore not keen to do business." -■> '
