(Received Ju&y Bth, 9.2 a.m.) LONDON, July 7. The Australian bowlers beat Kilmarnock by 82 to 74, and the New Zealanders beat North Edinburgh by 40 to 39. Edinburgh, however, defeated the New Zealanders by 41 to 39.
INTER-VARSITY CRICKET MATCH. The University cricket match, which was played at Lord's, ended in a draw. [Last season the match also ended in a draw, Oxford scoring 503 and 219 for six tickets—innings declared closed —to 392 and 186 for two wickets Of the sixty-six matches played Cambridge have won twenty-two, Oxford twenty-nine, and five have been left drawn.]
BRITISH IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. British imports in June decreased and exports decreased £2,451,000, compared with the corresponding month of last year. A FRENCH SYNDICATE IN HUNGARY. LONDON, July 8. "The Times" states that a French syndicate is investing sixty million francs in Hungary, where enterprise is now less dependent on the German market.
SURRENDER OF FILIPINOS. MANILA, July 8. General Bellarmino and 1000 with 284 rifles, surrendered to the Americans.
