NAPIER NOTES. (rRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NAPIER, June 22. Training , operations for the approaching Steeplechase Meeting have been somewhat hamSered by the rain. Although the tracks are eavy, nearly all the competitors were out this morning, and good work was registered. Venture, Kauri Gum, and Rhino went once round over country in company; Kauri Gum fell at the double, and Rhino then went a round alone, jumping well. Social Peat, looking fit, went three times and a naif at throe-quarter pace. Moifa, who looks well after the Auckland trip, was restricted to clow work. A number of others cantered./
