Owing to the holiday there will be no practice of the Musical Union Orchestra this evening, but. they are requested to meet to-morrow night, the choral practice being postponed this week. The train arrangements for to-day appear elsewhere. . .
A ladies' minstrel club is in course of formation by Mr H. Bossiter, and a goodly number of members have already joined. The presentation of degrees and diplomas gained by the stndents of Canterbury College on the November examinations of 1900 will take place in the> Canterbury College 'hall on Friday, 28th, <at o p.m., when the buHic are cordiaUy invited to attend. The final lecture of the astronomical course was given by Mr W. W.. Collins in the Choral Hall last night.
