THE REHEARSAL REVIEW.
It had been arranged , to hold a rehearsal review in. Hagley Park on Sunday afternoon, as it was thought that if the rehearsal -were ibeld on Saturday, after the parade at the railway station and the march, through the city, the volunteers would be too fatigued. When the announcement was made the following telegram was sent to the Premier: —"Right Hon. the Premier, Wellington,—'Lyttelton limes' announces rehearsal review of troops on Sunday afternoon. Such, procedure great affront to the'conscience of many volunteers and membars of Christian Churches. If such rehearsal necessary could take place Saturday afternoon, when men are free. Hope will be countermanded).—-Bishop Julius, Dr. Elmsße, Dr. Morley, W. Baumber." . ■■■■•■
Nothing lias been divulged regarding the reply sen* by the Premier, if any, bub it has been decided to hold the rehearsal at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
