A REHEARSAL.
A rehearsal of the Royal procession, as far «s the mounted volunteers are concerned, took place yesterday afternoon, the various ' corps assembling in strong force outside the railway station, and receiving instruction in the movements they will require to go through to-day, afterwards marching over ' the route. Considenhig the fact that the vehicular traffic was very heavy all the time the men were forming up and marching, and that cabmen were driving hither and thither in a more or less reckless fashion, the volnnteers behaved splendidly. They are, indeed, a splendid body of men, as smart, well set up, and l well - mounted, as one would find anywfoere. Colonel Pole-Penton, Colonel Gordon, Colonel Robin, Colonel Slater, Major Smith, Major Owen, and the officers attached to the 1 corps parading were Dresent. Messrs John Holmes, H. F. Wigram, and G. G. Stead, Royal Commissioners, drove to the station, ' and witnessed a portion of the proceedings there.
