THE POST OFFICE "DECORATIONS."
TO THE EDITOR OT THE PBESS. Sir,—l was glad to notice in your leader of yesterday that you had strongly condemned the awful pictures of the King, Queen, Duke and.Duchess, which are Bung at the Post Office, and I am sorry they are still there. Last night they were lit up, and looked just as bad as in the day time. As a Frenchman, I am amazed at the apathy of tho English and colonial people who tolerate such a outrage on art. I can assure you, sir, if such a vulgar display was shown in France the people would tear them down, regardless of the consequences.— lours, etc.,
A FRENCHMAN.
