[Anti-Christian riots have been in progress at Quelpart for some weeks, and prior m forma tion stated that two missionaries and six converts had been murdered. It was also officially announced at the beginning of thia month that Japanese and French warships were investigating the matter. Quelpart is a populous island about tfucty miles off the south coast of Korea.]
