I There was a large audience at the Cliornt ! Hall last night, when the McAdo'o Mini strels repeated their programme very su:*----i cessiullv. The jubilee choruses,all went cx- | cellently, nearly all being re-demanded. The ; other items on the programme, including the | solos by Miss Belie Gibbons, Miss Unlcr- : wood, Messrs McAdoo and Collins, and last, but by no means least, the very clever impersonations by Gauze, were all well rei ceived. The company appear again toj night. | There was a croyvded house at the Oddfeli lows' Hau last night, when Fuller's Bijou j Company repeated their piogramme successfully". The new song, "Sons of the : Motherland," sung by Mr Herbert, was en- ; thusiastically received, as were also all th.B other items on a varied programme. The | company appear again to-night, and the re- | appearance of several favourites is announced j for Monday. { The Dix Gaiety Company had a large I audience at the "Opera House last night, i when the Mil-tons again gave their clever performances. Mr Frank Ycrke yvas good in his turn, as were also the Devella Sisters, \ Ethel Clifford and the other members of the ' company. The lame bill will be repeated I to-night". I The Loyal Sister Pearce Lodge of Oddi fellows, ait a meeting on Thursday evening, j received a letter from the Prov. C.S., stat- : ing the Lodge must go into mourning till : March Ist. The first sentiment was given i in silence, the Lodge bsinig then adjourned ' fcr a fortnight out of respect to her late j Majesty Queen Victoria. j At the ordinary meeting of Coi__-t Star of I Canterbury on Monday evEning, the CR. I Bro. C, Savage in the chair, the Wood- ; wards reported eighteen members on the ; sick fund. One new member was proposed.
