MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA
At the ordinary meeting of this Board, there were present — Messrs F. Horrell. Dalziel, Leech, Stevenson, Stalker, Mr R. Evans accepted £20 for a heap of boulders. The Mandeville Drainage Board agreed to pay half-cost concrete bridge, with iron flood-gates, on Boys's road. The Woodend poundkeeper sent" a statement for past two years, and request for repairs. It was decided to terminate the engagement of the cattle ranger. Selwyn County Council reported repairs to White's Bridge £72, and estimate of new bridge £4200. It was resolved the Board considered a new bridge should be erected, and the Government be asked to bear cost of the same, or at least grant a substantial sum towards it, balance to be raL«ed by a loan. The Valuer-Gene-ral claimed £8 9s 7d. balance cost of valuation, and £12 2s for revising the roll. It was decided to ask for further information on tbe subject. The receipts were £29 4s lOd. and bank debit balance £233 4s 10d., Accounts, £164 13s Id, were passed for payment.
