A SHAFT OF LIGHT FROM MARS.
United Pren Association—By Eleotrio Tel-graph—Copyright. (Received January 18th, 9.19 a.m.) NEW YORK, January 17. The Lowell Obervatory, near Boston, in December observed a shaft of light projected from Mars, lasting seventy minutes. [Less than two weeks ago we were advised that Mr Nicola Tesla, the famous American electrician, stated that his instruments at the Colorado University recently recorded three faint "pulses of energy," not due to the sun or earth. Mr Tesla believed that they arose from signals from the planet Mars.]
