Contingent, in a letter dated'Bloemfontein, November 29th, states that, while on his way to Capetown, he had been taken ill at Krconstad with severe pains in his side i.nd chest, which the doctor said were the effects of pleurisy. At the time of writing Its had almost recovered, and expects to be back in the colony.in seven or eight weeks.
