NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
Considerable interest is being taken in the presence of the Seventh Day Adventists in camp. Special meetings are announced for each afternoon and evening, at 3 and 7-30 p.m.. Tenders close to-day, at noon, for two cottages to be built at the Industrial School, Burnham.
The annual meeting of the Industrial Association will be held on the 29th instant, at the Caledonian Society's rooms, Hereford street, at 8 p.m. A farewell to the Rev. S. J. Baker will be held in Trinity Congregational Church on Tuesday next, at 7.50 p.m., prior to his leaving to take up the pastorate of the newly-formed church at P-tlmerston North.
A meeting of those interested in the Sumner Gala will be held at the Sumner ffr-*-t at rijrht o'clock.
The Woolston Band will play at Sumner to-morrow- Trams will run at 2.5 p.m. At a meeting yesterday of the pTov_siom_i committee who are promoting the public meeting in resard to the Waimakarrri, crrtain resolutions were drafted, and speakers arranged for. The meetrnf is to be held in the Industrial Hall on Tuesday, 29th instant. Invitations are to be sent to tire members for the district, city and suburban councils, ___tdastria_ Association. Chamber of Commerce, and Trades and Labour Council.
