PETTY THEF-... At Lytteiton yesterday a man named John Frederick Forward appeared to answer to five charges ef petty thefts from the British and Empire Hotels. There was some doubt in one of the cases, but the other four were proved satisfactorily, and Mr Beetham sentenced the man to one month's imprisonment on each, the sentences to be cumulative. Gustavus Anderson was fined 10s ibr being drunk and disorderly.
