UNION COMPANY'S TIME-TABLE.

This week 'will see several alterations in the time-table running of the Union Company's coastal service. On Thursday the Rotorua, which has been undergoing an overhaul a* t headquarters, mainly to mc machinery, will co back into the Picton-fteleon-Wellington-liyttelton running, replacing the TSakapuna, which on the same date is to start in the Rotoiti's present running, the latter going on the Patent Slip for an overhaul. She starts on Sunday week in the service now being carried- out by the Mapourika. The Mapourika will be utilised for the time being in" the coastal trade from Auckland to Dunedin via Gisborne, Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton. It is because of the irregular running of the intercolonial steamers on the cost, consequent on the bubonic plague, that the Majpourika has been selected as an extra boat mtho Auckland-Dunedin eervice. The alterations in the running of the steamers will involve several changes m their commanders, and ifc is likely that Captain Spence, of the Takapuna, will transfer to the Rotorua; Captain Robertson, of tne Mapourika, to the Rotoiti; Captain Grant of the Rotoiti, to the Takapuna, and Captain Farmer, is now on ioliday leave, take charge of the Mapourika.
