Dkunkkntn-SS. — Christina Lawson, charged with being drunk in Oxford terrace, was sent-nced to one laonth's imprisonment.—Louisa Finnerty was charged with being drunk on the East belt. She was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment. — Ellen.Parkinson and.Frank Niven wercharged with being found drunk in St. Asaph street. Each accused was fined 20s, < r seven days' imprisonment. —Daniel Cii-w----ford was charged with being found mink in the open bar of the Wellington Hotel on the 14th. He was fined 20s, in o.lauJt forty-eight hours* imprisonment,—Two first offenders were "fined 5s each; another first offender was fined 10s. Au_so_d Wife Desertion.—David Neil was charged with having, on the 14th April, unlawfully deserted his wife. He was remanded till to-morrow. Damaging A Fence.—John Johnston was charged with having, on the 15th April, at Sydenham, damaged a fence, the.property of the Trustees of the Sydenham Wesleyan Church. Mr Donnelly appeared for the accused, who pleaded "not guilty." The evidence was not absolutely conclusive against the accused, as there were two others in his company at the time, and after being cautioned by the Bench, he was given the benefit of the doubt aad discharged.
