"go on her own," it is of interest to note that a leading English paper assumes that New Zealand will not- become one of the Auirtralas'Um State*. The words quoted below are from the "Spectator" of January 13th: —
"No reasonable person has any jealousy in regard to the growth of the Afrikander nation witliln the Empire. We want to see developed, not crushed, tlie rise of the Afrikander as.one of the* four great free nations within the Empire—the Canadians, the Australia-Ms the tsouth Africans, and the New Ze-darnders, all parts of one great whole of which these islands (Great Britain and Ireland) also are only part."—Yours, etc., W.G.B.
