HUNTING.
m , —' - Quite one of the best runs of the season, so far, was enjoyed by those who remained to tbe end of the proceedings at the meet of the Christchurch hounds on Friday last, at Weedons. The hare wart found-on MrWil- . son's, and a clinking' run of fifty minutes over tbe adjacent country was the result, the hare being finally lost in a large planta* - tion on the Lawtord Estate, when the hounds had to be whipped off. The country was all grass, and ihe fences perfect. Messrs P. Manion, Piercy, S&undry, Wilson, Jones and Stevem* own a great deal of the country crossed by the hounds, and to them , and the other owners the club' wishes to express its hearty thanks. Amongst those out were Mesdames Woodroffe, - Caflyon, O'Rorke, Woodhouse atfd Corbet, Misses Gerard (2), Neave (2) and Bassett, Messrs R. H. Rhodes, E. o'R>rke, C. Palairet, Neave (2h Bassett, Cooney, Coop, T. Stewart, "H. Telford, Whittey, Muirhead, Trickett,. Phillipps, G. Gerard, Carlyon, Sullivan, and many ethers. --«-—--■-»■■----—-•»
