! A match vras begun on the College ground on Saturday between the Midland and College, Second, when the former had the best of tlie afternoon's play. Scores: —College IS (Reynolds 15), and 22 for three wickets (Townend 10); Midland 99 (Kemp 30, Whitte 19, Rubson 15 not out, and Wi» I Stanley 11). Cutts bowled well for the Midland, taking eight wickets for 6 runs, and Steele and Pearson, trundled best for the College. The match, United v High School, resulted ' in an eas?jr win for United, only one Saturday being required to dispose of the School, who were beaten by ten wickets. Scores: — High School 44 (Rhodes 10, Bonks 10), and 62 (Banks 25 and Gresson 23) j United C.C. 104 and 4 for no wickets (Izard 30, Harper 1 16, Wiggins 22 not out, Grossbn 10).
