(FBESS ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAMS.) AUCKLAND, February 11. The Mayor took Captain Giovello, of the Italian warship Etna, and a party of officers to a kauri forest at Waitakerei. John Heaps, aged twelve, charged with assaulting one Robert Waite and causing him bodily harm, was committed for trial. Waite lost the sight of an eye through being struck with a el one. INVERCARGILL, February 11. James Stewart, a labourer, aged twentyone years, was charged at the Police Court to-day with a criminal assault on a girl aged fourteen years, at Grovebush, and remanded till Wednesday.
