THE GATTON MURDERS.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY. February 9. Burke is the name of the man arrested at Grafton. He made a statement thato he was within a few miles of Gatton on the night of the tragedy, and ascribed Michael Murphy's vigilance during the shearers' strike as the motive of the crime. He answers the description of a man named Burns whom the Queensland police &Wnt. Burke has been remanded to Brisbane.
