A PRACTICAL PASTOR.
The pastor of the W r orthing Tabernacle, the Rev. C. D. Crouch, whose action about twelve months ago, in returning the offerings of bis congregation at 4hs rate of £50 a year, was greatly criticised, has just issued his third annual letter to his congregation, in which he states thai he is now m the privileged position of being able to make a return oi £100 for the ensuing year, and "there is hope." he adds, "that 1 shall yet realise my heart's desire, and minister to you without "fee or reward/ Mr Crouch adds that liis business engagements have not rendered the work of preaching more difficult— on the contrary, the regular physical exercise and the more practical acquaintance with the affairs of daily life have conduced towards better h.3akh and a fuller appreciation of the Gospel of Christ. : The particular business to which this practical pastor devotes himself is fruit growing, which is carried on to an enormous extent*'at Worthing and its immediate neighbourhood..
