OTHER MATCHES.
The first contest this season b-tween the Christehurch Veterans and Rangiora Veterans was played at H_gley Park yesterday, when the visitors won by 32 runs on the first innings. Scores: —Rangiora 136 (H. Bailey 36, J, Judson 30, T. Croft 22, J. Reynolds 13, and C. B. Mason 11), and 55 for four, wickets (Tipping 21 not out); Christchurch 104 (Berkeley 45, Goring 12, and Murphy 11). Mason, Judsbn and Reynolds bowled best for the winners, and Blake and Goring for Chfistchurch, who had to bowl and field at the start with a wet ball, but the grass scon dried up and an enjoyable game followed.
, The following will represent the U.C.C.G.' Eleven-v Midland on Saturday: —Boddingtori, Clark, Frankish, Reeves, Sims, Smith, Vincent, Wigley and Williams.
