(PBESS association telegrams.) AUCKLAND, September 23. Jas. Ingram, who was injured by a firewood saw at a wood yard yesterday, died to-night at the hospital. A cart .backed in the yard, and. pushed him against the revolving saw, which cut into his back. NEW PLYMOUTH, September 23. In the Police Court this morning William Foreman was fined £5 and costs £2 4s, for exposing a diseased cow for sale. The case was brought on the information of Mr W. Orbell, stock inspector. The Directors of the Waitara Freezing Works have decided to sell the works to a syndicate for £300, which represents the liability of the company to the guarantors and small accounts. The shareholders forego all the share money invested. The syndicate proposes to float a company with a capital of £2000, in £100 shares, and to re-open the works with new machinery and additional buildings.
