RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 23. The following is the text of the circulae which the Council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce is about to send to each member of Parliament:— " The Council is of opinion that the construction of the North Island Main Trunk Railway ia being unnecessarily delayed. It considers the approaching lines should be joined by the nearest practicable route, and so render re. munerative a large amount of capital now lying idle."
