A HOT DAY. SYDNEY, September 21. To-day was the hottest September day ever experienced in Sydney. The thermo-
meter registered 89 degrees in the shade.
LIBEL ACTION. The Kbel action, Cowlishaw v the "Bui-, letin," arising out of the loss of the Atacama, resulted in a verdict for defendant-. SUICIDE BY DYNAMITE. MELBOURNE, September 21. The police are satisfied that the body found at Yankee creek is that of Frederick Wilson, and it is supposed he committed suicide by placing dynamite and tin slugs in his moutiu A CASE OP MURDER. The body of a man, not identified, has been found in a creek at Slrathgerton, sewn up in bagging. The skull was smashed, and there were several stabs in the neck.
