Mutton — Crossbred wethers and Maiden ewes, Canterbury, 8f d; Dunedin and Southland, 2£d; North Island, 2 13-16 d. ' Lamb, prime Canterbury. i 5-16 d; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland,. Wellington and secondary Canterbury, 4£d. Biver Plate, crossbred or merino wethers, heavy and light, both 2£d.
Received June 13th, 11.30 a.m.
At the leather sales Australian was fa short supply, and one-eighth of a penny dearer. Basils flat.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable messages from their London office:— *
" June 10.
" The tallow market is exceedingly dull and there is nothing doing. Bayers are out of the market at the moment."
"June 11.
v Since our last telegram the price of tallow in general is lower by 6d per owi. The market is very depressed and there are no buyers. "Wheat—Since our last telegram prices are lower by Is per quarter. The market is unsettled and looks like going lower."
