POLITICAL ADDRESSES.
[By Telegraph.]
[FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.]
WELLINGTON, June 10. Mr G. Hutchison has decided, in response to a requisition, to address a meeting at Feilding shortly, and will there answer the statements made by the Premier on the occasion of his visit to that district. I regret to say that Mr Hutchison was seized with a sudden attack of illness, which rendered it necessary for him to lie up and seek medical advice. On enquiring to-night, I was glad to learn that Mr Hutchison's illness is cot of a serious nature.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NAPIER, Jurft 10. Mr McLean, M.H.R., addressed his constituents thie evening, the Theatre Royal being crowded. His speech was ndt of a violent party character, though he strongly deprecated legislation calculated to disturb confidence and prevent enterprise, especially in gold mining matters. He reviewed the work of la»t session, expressing approval of some Government measures and opposing others. The administration generally, especially that of vthe land department, he attacked. A vote of thanks and confidence was unanimously carried.
