SITTINGS IN CHAMBERS,
Friday, June 10. (Before hie Honour Mr Justice Denniston.) His Honour sat in Chambers at 11 a.m. M'CALLUM V KONIO. In this case, on the application of Mr Fisher, his Honour made an order grauting a charging order. QtJINN V STAIX AND OTHEBS. Mr Geo. Harris said in this matter, which stood over for service to be effected, the affidavit of service had not yet been received. Mr Donnelly for the plaintiff, complained of the delay. His Honour made an order for the matter to stand over. LUKIKS V RICHARDS AND ANOTHER. On the application of Mr Wilding his Honour made an order for discovery. RB PATRICK HANLET, DECEASED. Mr Bates for the plaintiff, applied on originating summons for an interpretation of a will as to the position of the widow, whether she was entitled to the property absolutely or took with the children.
Mr Malley for the defendant. After learned counsel had cited authorities, his Honour said that the words of the will "to use for her own benefit" placed the personal property at her disposal, and might bring the case within the decision in Roger v Roger. He should hold, therefore, that the wife took absolutely. Costs to be paid out of the estate. FLANAGAN V FLANAGAN. Mr Joynt applied herein for substitution of service on the respondent. It had been found that the police were unable io ascertain his whereabouts. His Honour made an order that an advertisement containing the citation be put in one of the principal papers published in the four centres ; and also that a copy of the citation be left at the house of the father of the respondent.

His Honour granted orders for probate as under:—Rβ Agnes Linton Burnett, deceased (Mr Bates); re Alice Sellars, deceased (Mr Johnston); re John James King, deceased (Mr Maude); re J. W. T. Boys, deceased (Mr Maude); re W. R. Rastrick, deceased (Mr Joynt).
MEACLEM V NORWICH UNION FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY.
This was an application to strike out part of the defence. Mr Bruges in support of the application, Mr Fisher contra. His Honour made the order as prayed, after argument, Mr Fisher undertaking to strike out paragraph 5 of the defence.
IN BANCO,
The continuation of the hearing of the case in re George Beatty, deceased, was adjourned in consequence of the illness of Mr Kippenberger until 22nd instant.
