IMMEDIATE ATTACK ON THE SPANISH.
Washington, June 9.
Twenty-nine transports, with 27,000 American troops and large supplies of ammunition, have sailed from. Tampa. They are expected to land on Saturday, when the attack on Admiral Cerveras follows. Six hundred and fifty marines will reinforce Admiral Sampson. General Shufter commands the Santiago contingent, and General Coppinger the Porto Bico force.
The Santiago force comprises sixteen regiments of regular infantry, eleven regiments of volunteers, five squadrons of cavalry arid six batteries of artillery.

The " Temps " has interviewed Mr Chauncey M. Dapew, who said that if the war were prolonged the American demands would increase. A feeling was already apparent in America in favour of depriving Spain of ail her possessions outside Europe.
