AFFAIRS IN THE PHILIPPINES.
A GRAVE CRISIS. Received June 10th, 1.25 a in. Washington, June 9. Six additional transports have been chartered for the Philippines. Hong Kong, June 9. Aquinaldo, the insurgent leader jn the Philippines, reports that he is besieging a church with 800 Spanish soldiers inside, who must surrender. The Governor proposes to capitulate. Madrid, June 9. The Governor of the Philippines reports that the entire archipelago, except the Visayas group, has revolted, and that he is unable to exercise any control with the force at his command, which is inadequate. The Madrid authorities have instructed the military commandant of the Visayas Group to proceed, at any cost, to Manila, and arrange a joint plan of operations. It is reported that the Governor has taken refuge in Manila Castle, where he will make a final stand. , Ministers are consulting Queen Christina on the grave position of affairs.
