INVERCARGILL, June 9.
The winter show of the A. and P. Association was opened this afternoon by the Earl of Ranfurly, who made a brief but practical speech. There wasa large attendance. Owing to the erratic character of the past season the exhibits of roots were scarcely up to the average. The best scwb cheese, high colour for export, came from the Seaward Downs Factory, Wyndham Factory second. Seaward Downs was also first for the scwt white cheese, the Stirling Factory sscond. The Inchclutha Factory got first for two factory cheese, 351b, with Orepuki second. Seaward Downs took first for loaf cheese, Inchclutha second. Miss Lizzie Doull won both prizes for farm made cheese. The best single cheese in the exhibition wae that of the Inchclutha Factory, Orepuki Factory second.
