ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A MAN KILLED. A young man named David -Gunntwas killed at Hakataramea on Saturday by a dray load of timber falling on him and crushing him. He was found by a shepherd, who removed the load, but Gunn was already dead. An inquest was held on Tuesday, when a verdiot of "Accidental death" was returned. The remains were buried in the Waimate Cemetery on Tuesday. (PRESS ASSOCIATION* TELEGRAMS.) AUCKLAND, MaVch 23. Information has been received that a settler, named Bevan, residing at the Wade, has been found dead. While rabbit shooting at Greenhills, opposite Pine Island, some settlers came across his dead body with a gun beside it. WELLINGTON, March 23. A little boy, named Thoe. Seaman, fell off a horso near Masterton and sustained concussion of the brain. He is not expected to live. DUNEDIN, March 22. Samuel M'Carrigan, the young man who met with an accident on the railway line, near Port Chalmers, on Monday evening, and had both his legs amputated at the hospital, died at nine o'clock this morning.
