DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING.
[By Telegraph.] (FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) DUNEDIN, March 22. The town, which was full of visitors yesterday, received a further influx ot 2500 to-day, and there is sure to be a big crowd at the opening of the Dunedin autumn meeting to-morrow, the more especially as the weather promises to be fine. All the races appear pretty open, and there is every promise of good sport. It is confidently announced that Euroclydon will be the one depended on by Goodman in the Cup. In consequence he is likely to go out favourite. The fact that the stable fancy hi 3 chance is tantamount to saying that he is reckoned to be in fit condition to last out the journey. This bcin£ conceded I am justified in selecting him to win, for except St. Paul, who has such at- emecdous load, he outclasses the opposition. The Champagne should bring about a capital contest, and it is quite oil the cards that Djin Djin or Dundas may effect the overthrow of Conqueror. My selections are : —Hurdle Race—llex ; Champagne Stakes—Conqueror 1, Djin Djin 2, Dundas 3; Dunedin Cup—Euroclydon 1, St. Paul 2, An tares or Emmeline 5 ; Selling Race —Realistic • Publicans' Handicap — Bloomer 1, Arline 2, Belle Clair 3 ; Maiden Plate—Fulmen ; Selling Two-Year-Old Race —Ban Farley ; Stewards' Welter—Double Event.
